Winter School

Thomas Flores is an architect, working at the scale of the territory. His research & publications deals with the historicity of discourses on city’s excendentary violence in the west, and the way it was appropriated by fascism & architecture. He co-founded studio Warm Weekend and has been working for architectural office LIST, for the last years.

Mathias Palazzi is a trained designer, working at the scale of material research & object design. His research & publications deals with infrastructures of management of excedentary matter, be it waste or ressource. He co-founded and worked under the name of studio Niveau Zero Atelier (2021-2025), before engaging a solo practice.

In 2024, they engage a common research to frame their work & find a way out from a prevalent discourses on an architecture of frugality, that seems disconnected from both the essence & actual condition of the discipline.

Dans le cadre de la Winter School 2026 dont le commissariat a été confié à Vanessa Pointet & Thibaut Pierron, architectes, cofondateurs de l’agence Sub, qui ont choisi pour thématique The Arts of the Environment.
